The Cottage

‘Bwthyn Cerrig’ is Welsh for Stone Cottage. The cottage is located on Henllys Ganol farm in rural North West Wales on the Llŷn Peninsula.

You’ll find us between the villages of Llanbedrog and Rhyd-y-Clafdy, (a 7-9 min drive from Abersoch and a 10 min drive to the nearby town of Pwllheli). We’re fortunate to be situated at the gateway to the most stunning and unspoilt part of the Llŷn Peninsula.
From the comfort of the cottage, you will be able to see the coast and numerous mountains (including Snowdon, and Snowdonia National Park). If you’re feeling energetic, just put on your hiking boots and drive on over!

There’s plenty to explore and do near by, and plenty of places to eat, drink and be merry – be sure to click on ‘Things to do, see & explore’ for some suggestions.

LIVING & DINING

The large open plan living, dining and kitchen area, with its high ceilings and generous proportions, has a wonderfully light, airy, contemporary feel.

Living – In the living area, there’s a large, comfy L-shaped sofa, and a squishable beanbag seat. You’ll find wooden floors throughout, and an environmentally friendly, smoke-free (bio-oil) fireplace. You’ll love the designer floor lamp, large wooden coffee table, and matching wooden book case, which has some books and games to keep the family occupied. But don’t worry, there’s 3G network coverage if board games aren’t your thing! You’ll also have a 42” television, a blue ray player with surround sound, and a few DVDs for a cosy night in. Best of all, at the front of the cottage, there are triple-folding doors so you can enjoy the beautiful view of Cardigan Bay and Snowdonia.

Dining – The dining area comprises a beautiful, country-style wooden dining table with six chairs, so you can sit down together to enjoy a hearty meal. There’s also a breakfast bar with four stylish stools so you can enjoy a relaxed breakfast together.

Kitchen – Cooking should hopefully be a pleasure in the large, open kitchen, with Neff oven and induction hob. There’s a microwave too of course, in case slow cooking isn’t your thing. Of course, there’s a fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery, pots and pans, cutlery, etc. And after you’ve enjoyed a meal together, to avoid any arguments over the washing up, there’s a family sized dishwasher.

Utility areas – At the rear of the cottage, the porch (which has a stunning slate floor, wrought iron umbrella stand and coat hooks), has a freezer and washing machine. Inside the cottage there is a utility cupboard containing an ironing board and iron, Dyson vacuum cleaner, etc.

Central heating – There’s central heating throughout the cottage of course to keep you warm even in the winter.
